Mr. Sanchez is the Founder and President of the Latino Educational Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded to help Latino students improve their lives. The focus is to meet the national and local educational skills and employment goals for students and employers. His desire to help his community STEAMS from his parents' belief that education is fundamental to success. He strives to encourage students to succeed through learning to obtain gainful employment for the benefit of themselves, their families and the economy.

Besides being the Founder and President of the Latino Educational Fund, Mr. Sanchez was also the founder and CEO of the Latino Diabetes Association, a 501c3 nonprofit. He founded the organization in the memory of his father, Heberto Sanchez's death that resulted from complications caused by diabetes. His family's experience dealing with his father's diabetes left an impact in his life that resonates in the work he does. His belief in aggressive diabetes education at the community level made him a voice in the Latino Community for diabetes awareness which was acknowledged by being a finalist for the first ever Los Angeles Business Journal Latino Business Awards in the non-profit category. He also initiated the need and helped gain congressional support for H.Res 69 in the 111th Congress (2009-2010) to express support for the designation of Latino Diabetes Awareness Month.

Mr. Sanchez serves as member of the California Organized Investment Network (COIN) which serves as a national model to provide leadership in increasing insurance industry investments in underserved and rural communities throughout California. He was appointed to COIN by California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon.

He has previously been appointed and served as a Commissioner on the Tri-City Valley Mental Health in 2006; Planning Commissioner for the City of Pomona in 2006; Board of Directors for the East Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in 2005; Commissioner for the Community Life Commission for the City of Pomona in 2004-2005.

Mr. Sanchez was born in Los Angeles, California and studied at California State University, Northridge, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Marketing and a Master's degree in Public Administration. While graduating with his Master's degree he received the Heritage of Excellence Honors from California State University, Northridge. 

Mr. Sanchez resides in Pomona, California with his family.
